Sponsor a getaway

The Hut, elevating mental health awareness.

The Hut, featured in the 'A Moment in Time' entry at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, was designed to highlight the mental health challenges experienced by active defence members, veterans, and their families. The heartfelt story and dedication behind its creation deeply moved us, prompting our decision to incorporate it into Sequoyah Retreat.

With the help of our sponsors, we aim to offer sponsored weekends to organisations with individuals currently facing difficulties, providing them with a much-needed respite. Recreating 'A Moment in Time' isn't just about nostalgia—it's about rediscovering the joy of simple pleasures, like a walk through the woods or sitting by a crackling fire. It's about finding solace in the beauty of nature and the simplicity of human connection.

Why Become a Sponsor?

Mental health conditions impact all Australians, either directly or indirectly for family members, friends, and caregivers. Over the past four years, there has been a significant surge in the number of people developing mental health conditions, resulting in an unprecedented demand for mental health services. The recent events of the COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with the current high cost of living, are exacerbating the strain on people's mental well-being.

Increasing evidence suggests that alternative treatments are effectively alleviating those struggling with mental or physical conditions. By sponsoring a getaway for someone in need, you're offering them vital relief. It's a chance for them to step away from technology and immerse themselves in the healing power of nature. This unique opportunity allows them to reconnect with an experience reminiscent of simpler times, and may just be what they need to kickstart their healing journey!
